Elsa & Anna Sneak Peek from Comic Con
The Enfield Poltergeist was the name of the events which occurred in a small home rented by Peggy Hodgson, a single mother of 4. The events took place mainly in August of 1977 in the London Borough of Enfield, in England. Peggy called the police after her children claimed furniture was moving and noises were heard, eventually developing into demonic voices and the children being held in the air by an unknown force.
You can read the full story here, and from what I know, the Conjuring 2: the Enfield Poltergeist is based roughly on these events.
